Don’t Blink on Technology

Having technology at your fingertips is an unbelievable resource in helping provide a snapshot of things that are going on in the world and can provide instant information with a click of a button (or a touch of a screen). Just think about how Twitter, Yelp, and Facebook have revolutionized things. Not having to struggle to grab a camera when you’re also trying to feed a baby or while you’re trying to stay still when a baby is asleep, is also a big plus. Here are some pics taken in the recent weeks from our cell phones…which we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise if we had to grab our camera.

Video of Ryland Smiling

Since I haven’t really had time to work on a slideshow area for videos, I figured it’s easier to just try embedding a video into a blog post for now.  Sorry in advance for the quality of the video, I’m still working on how to get a better resolution video to embed. Enjoy.

This is What I Get for Being 10-Weeks Old?

We had a great, (and unbelievably) productive weekend as we were able to clean the house, do laundry, and organize everything that was laying on the floor.  Unfortunately, Ryland didn’t like the laundry-part or tummy time this weekend, but he’ll get over it.

Bare Necessities

What happens when you have parents that like to bring you shopping?  You end up buying things that you may or may not need.  In our defense, it was a sunny day…and soon, it’ll be summer.  Besides, we needed something to go with the hat that we bought him too.

2-month Checkup and Vaccines

Ryland just had his 2-month checkup and a vaccine shot yesterday and he now weighs a nice, 11.5 pounds.  At the 1-month checkup, he was in the 9 pound range, so he’s definitely growing.  He was 21 inches long at 1-month and is now at 22.5 inches long.  Our vaccine schedule is pretty steady, so he just got an oral vaccine and one shot at this visit.  He took the shot pretty well (cried for about 10 seconds), then seemed to forget about it.

We had a busy day yesterday, as we took him to my work yesterday after his doctor’s appointment, but he managed to behave really well, despite being extremely tired.  He actually slept for over 2 hours (in a row) last night, proving how tired he really was.  We’re now getting ready to head to San Diego for the weekend…hopefully it doesn’t rain.
