Garden State ETA 3 Weeks

We finally took our house hunting trip to NJ this past week, and although it was raining most of the week, we managed to find a townhome that we liked (in Parsippany, NJ) and signed a lease to rent the place.

The townhome won’t be ready until August 1st, which means we’ll be staying in corporate housing for the first few months, but that’ll help us save some money from the get-go.

Ryland was great during the long flight over to NJ and did pretty well considering the rain, living in a hotel for 5 days, and the nightly restaurants that his parent’s took him to while taking full advantage of a fully-paid trip to NJ.

Our ETA to NJ is now around the 3-week mark and hopefully the time here on the West Coast will go by slowly so that we can spend as much time as we can with our friends and family. One thing is for sure, it was nice to get off the plane, arrive in LAX, and go home.

Long Overdue Six Month Checkup Results

We’ve been pretty busy as of late trying to get everything organized for our move to NJ, so I haven’t had a chance to update the site as often as I would like, but we did get a chance to take Tiger to the doctor for his 6-month checkup. At the checkup, Tiger came in at 16 pounds, 1 ounce, measured 26 inches in length, and stayed at 42 cm for the circumference of his head (which I think is actually larger than last month, but I guess not).

Here’s a picture of him at the last checkup

The doctor also said that Tiger wasn’t teething just yet, but he could see where the teeth were going to come in. Dr. Efron also mentioned that we could start pureeing meat to feed him…but both of us thought that was way too weird and too soon for that. We’ll work our way down the fruit and vegetable family tree, proceed to tofu, and then go from there.

Lakers 2030?

My dada tells me that if I eat my food, I can grow up and play for the Lakers! Right now I’m just a Rookie, but after watching them lose to Dallas for the third straight time tonight, I don’t think it would be that hard to make the team in a few years. Boo Lakers! Yeah Me!
