Art de Triumph!

Tiger has just had his first taste of doing an art project at home! Although we’ve now received several art projects from school, this is our first go at letting him dirty himself up and do as he pleases. All-in-all, it was a quite an eventful day as we took to the City and made our rounds at several good eats.

Let’s see how dirty I can get before dada flips out!

I wonder if I can put this plate on my face

Video: I Think Tiger Might Be a Football Player When He Grows Up

Please notice Tiger’s great-use of:

1. BALANCE [4 second mark] (almost loses his balance, but like any great football player, he regains it quickly)
2. PROTECTING THE BALL [9 second mark] (watch as he instinctively switches the bag to his other arm)
3. FOOTWORK [13 second mark] (that’s poetry in motion as he sidesteps the smelly defenders, then goes right past them for the touchdown!)

A Taste of Home

This weekend, it was a sultry 42 degrees in NJ, so we jumped at the chance to head back to Fort Lee where we initially had some good Korean BBQ and decent boba.

Okay, so we’ve never lived in Korea, so it’s really not a “taste of home”, but the restaurant that we went to (BCD Tofu House) does have 10 of it’s 14 locations in Los Angeles, so that’s got to count for something. To add to the hometown feel, my stomach didn’t feel too good that night…which is just a friendly reminder of how my stomach often feels when I go to Roberto’s in San Diego…like I said, this weekend was “a taste of home”.

Cold and Colds

We finally got our first snowfall of the new year, which is perfect timing, since we haven’t been able to go out much as of late anyways because of the constant colds that have been cycling through our household. In the past 4 weeks, we’ve probably had a total of 2 days where the three of us weren’t sick at one point or another.

We’re hoping with the new (Chinese) year, our immune system will tolerate the cold and colds much better than it has. As for Chinese New Year itself, I hope everyone enjoys their time with family and eats lots and lots of good food!

Some Milestones Hurt More Than Others

We love you Tiger. Don’t worry, not all days will be like today, it gets better.
