Strive For Five But Plateau-ing

Another month flies by as Tiger gets his 5-month vaccines (which we almost got the wrong vaccines if Mama didn’t ask the MA). Tiger’s starting to plateau a bit and comes in this month at 15 lbs, 5 ounces (which isn’t bad considering he was sick all of last week). His length is now 25.5 inches and the circumference of his head is 42 cm.

It’s been a busy few weeks so we haven’t had a chance to take many pictures and update the blog, but hopefully things will calm down a bit and we should have more pictures soon.

And the Jell-O’s Jigglin’…

The late-great Chick Hearn used to always close a Lakers’ win by saying, “The game’s in the refrigerator, the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter’s getting hard….and the Jell-O’s jigglin’!” Well, it looks like the Jell-O’s jigglin’ on our time here in Los Angeles for now (just as Ry was getting used to watching his favorite team in the world…so he’s told)!

We’ll be temporarily (for at least 2 years) relocating to New Jersey for my work and will finally get a chance to experience the four different seasons. Being away from our friends and family is definitely going to be hard, definitely bitter-sweet, but we’ll hopefully try to fly back as much as we can. Hopefully people will also want to come visit us since we’re so close to New York as well. Once we find out where we’ll be living, we’ll be sure to update everyone!

I don’t get it…we like the Los Angeles Lakers, and don’t like Jordan Farmar, but we’re moving to New Jersey where Jordan Farmer lives?

Every Night is “Must See TV”

My mama and dada always tell me that I can’t watch too much tv, but then they always turn on Cold Case, Jersey Shore, and the Lakers when they should be playing with me! It’s no wonder I’m addicted already!

P.S.
They think they’re placing me down to do tummy time, but I’m really tricking them…it’s the only way I get to watch my shows.

Video: LOL

My mommy and daddy want me to be a happy baby, so they try and make me laugh all the time. A couple of weeks ago when I was trying to sleep (like the good baby I am), my mommy and my Auntie Valerie kept me up all night just to hear me laugh!

Four No More

Ry’s 4-month checkup and vaccination was today (can you tell from the picture how much he enjoys getting shots?) and everything went well. Ry now weighs-in at 14.7 lbs and is now 25 inches long. Not a huge leap from month 3, but everything checks out great, which is all we can ask. Ry is trying to talk more and more now and is also extremely alert (when he’s awake), as he’s trying to take-in everything around him. These next few months are going to busy (not just for his parents), but also for him, as we may try to give him his first taste of rice cereal in the weeks to come. Let’s hope he likes the rice cereal as much as his mom likes Half & Half’s boba drinks!

Video: Tricks Are For Kids

Just when my mommy and daddy didn’t think they had anything to worry about, I decided to show them the new trick I learned last week. Please watch my video and pay close attention (at the 0:39 second mark)…you’ll know when I’m ready to go when I put my left arm up!!!

Grandma: Pia, he’s gonna roll over. LOOK! Get your video camera!
Mama: (sitting on the lounge chair eating cookies) No he’s not, Mommy. He’s only 3 months old.
Grandma: He is. haha He’s going to roll. LOOK!
Mama: (looking at Grandma and Tiger) No, he’s not.
*pause*
Mama: (cookie frozen in mid-air, then jumping up off the lounge chair) OMG, MOMMY! HE JUST ROLLED OVER! WAIT, I NEED TO RECORD THIS!

After 4, 2 min videos of trying to record his roll on video, with him refusing and babbling with me instead, he finally rolled over in the 5th one.
