Five Years in the Making

Birthday party #1, November 5th, 2011. Birthday party #2, November 12th, 2016. Yikes, did we really only have two birthday parties for Little Tiger in five years?

For this sixth birthday, we threw a house party with friends, family, and Little Tiger’s classmates. We rented a jumper (jumper #1 was a Princess jumper…oops) and had unlimited tacos for lunch. Although Little Tiger’s first choice was to have his party at Jumpin’ Jammin’, I’m sure going there was the furthest thought on his mind yesterday. He got tons of well wishes and even more toys. The Pokemon theme went well and because of it, we’re now living in a home that resembles our own version of a Pokemon Go gym.

On the day of his actual birthday, we got Little Tiger a cake. Apparently, a cake brings out the Dab in him.

Birthday party and jumper(s), here we come. Side note: Mommy and Daddy needed lots of coffee to get through this day.

At the end of all this, the pinata knew exactly how HRC felt on November 8th.

Little Tiger could care less about his cupcakes, so he focused on making sure his guests got the Pokemon figures they wanted. What a great kid.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to our little boy. I think both mommy and daddy has come to the realization that you’ve grown up way to quick. Although we’ve never taken our time granted, it just seems that the time it took for you to take your first step, until now, where you’re your own little, independent boy, simply flew by.

Three’s a Charm

What a day! It started several weeks back, as Supermom decided to throw a Superhero-sized birthday party for Tiger at school. In doing so, Supermom made capes for 21 boys and girls, baked cupcakes, made flyers, personalized name tags, and even had time to order pizza for the class and teachers. With all this work, it’s no wonder Tiger had a great day at school.

After school, Tiger insisted that we go eat at a specific Vietnamese restaurant…go figure. After dinner came the ice cream and the gifts, both of which, Tiger loved.

It’s unbelievable that today marks three years since he was born, and what an amazing three years it’s been. Happy birthday Tiger…we love you!

Two Sweet

Happy 2nd birthday Tiger! (Sorry, I meant to make this post on the 7th, but fell asleep)

Although we didn’t get to go out to celebrate your 2nd birthday because of the unusual weather, we did get to have a mini celebration, complete with cake and candles (the only candles that we actually had were scented table candles, but still).

On your 2nd birthday, you’re now able to vocalize your colors, tell your mama and dada exactly where you want us to sit, and you can even give us the double-thumbs up sign.

To think, just a year ago, we were celebrating your birthday in Los Angeles. Time moves as quickly as everyone says it does, but it’s really amazing when you take the time to look back at the pictures and videos of the past year.

Happy birthday Tiger, your mama and dada loves you.

Shamu-Sized Birthday

On Tiger’s birthday, we were in San Diego and decided to celebrate the morning and early afternoon with a trip to Sea World with Tiger’s Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. The weather was perfect and the outing to Sea World was both relaxing and refreshing. Not only did we get to see some pretty cool animals, but we got to spend time with Tiger’s cousin, eat some unhealthy foods (more on that later), and run around (not Tiger, but mama and dada) in what was Captain Kid’s World (now some Sesame Street thing). How can we top that?…by returning in a few months thanks to our newly acquired 2012 season passes! (yes, we still live in New Jersey)!

Dada, this place is almost as cold as NJ…maybe polar bears and Beluga whales live in NJ too?

One of my favorite pictures of Tiger and Mama

I’m having a whale of a time! (okay, no more references to Sea World)

Taken at exactly 2:03 PM, November 7th, 2011, exactly one year after I was born

Me and my gracious Sea World hosts!

After Sea World, we went to Love Boat sushi to complete our Tour de Binge of food establishments that we’ve been craving since leaving California. The night before Tiger’s birthday, we ate bun guon (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) and got a visit from Tiger’s website’s #1 fans!

For a rundown on our Tour de Binge, here’s a semi-complete list of things we ate in less than 6 days:
-Dim sum at East Gourmet Restaurant…check
-Roasted pork…check

-Church’s chicken…check
-Mom’s home cookin’….check

Ah, at least there’s always March 2012…
