Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

In case you forgot, my name is…

My third month went by very, very quickly. Here are a few pictures from the past month just to show everyone how much I’ve grown recently. In the past month, I’ve tried sitting on my own, I got another mohawk haircut from my mama, laughed with my grandma, and received an awesome, hand-made personalized quilt!

Video: Tricks Are For Kids

Just when my mommy and daddy didn’t think they had anything to worry about, I decided to show them the new trick I learned last week. Please watch my video and pay close attention (at the 0:39 second mark)…you’ll know when I’m ready to go when I put my left arm up!!!

Grandma: Pia, he’s gonna roll over. LOOK! Get your video camera!
Mama: (sitting on the lounge chair eating cookies) No he’s not, Mommy. He’s only 3 months old.
Grandma: He is. haha He’s going to roll. LOOK!
Mama: (looking at Grandma and Tiger) No, he’s not.
*pause*
Mama: (cookie frozen in mid-air, then jumping up off the lounge chair) OMG, MOMMY! HE JUST ROLLED OVER! WAIT, I NEED TO RECORD THIS!

After 4, 2 min videos of trying to record his roll on video, with him refusing and babbling with me instead, he finally rolled over in the 5th one.

Hoping and Wishing

Over the weekend, I learned how to put my hands together and make it look like I’m praying! Although I don’t do it often, I thought I needed to do it today because my mommy and daddy started P90X today and they don’t look too good right now (look at the worried look on my face). We’ll see if they can last the other 89 days needed to complete the program…..yeah, I don’t think so either!

And the Results Are In: 3-Month Checkup

We were a few days overdue for our 3-month checkup visit, but Ryland came in at a whopping 13.85 pounds and measured 24 inches long during yesterday’s checkup! Although mommy and daddy’s collective arms are being tested everytime we pick him up to carry him, we’re glad that he’s gaining the weight he needs to gain, and is getting longer and longer by the day.

As for vaccines, little Tiger got two shots yesterday (can’t remember which shots), but resulted in a slight fever and loss of appetite last night. Hopefully he feels much better today as he’s resting at home with mommy during this 3-day rainstorm that’s moving through LA.

Just Grove-in’ Along

Today was a perfect day for a family trip to a place we’ve never been before…the LA Farmer’s Market and the Grove. Hearing how the Farmer’s Market food court was filled with a variety of foods, we couldn’t help but to take a stop there to get some fried catfish w/ collard greens, french macaroons, custard-filled chocolate donuts, and a chocolate cupcake. After filling up on sweets, we took to some shopping (saw a crazy, kid-filled store called American Girl that sells $100 dolls), then relaxed at the grassy area of the Grove.

Ryland got his first feel of grass today, although I did have to kill a pincher bug before it ate his foot. The weather was perfect (especially with Ryland getting used to being out in the sun more) and the timing couldn’t be better to take a spontaneous, relaxing trip.

Asleep At The Wheel

Isn’t it 2011 already? Did my mommy and daddy just figure out TODAY how to upload cell phone pictures of me without emailing themselves each picture one by one? Talk about being asleep on the technology train!

To celebrate, there’s a new slideshow in the “Tiger Pics” area (use the “Next Screen” link on the bottom right-hand corner of the slideshow menu area to get to the second page of the slideshows) that shows a collection of pictures of me, me and my daddy sleeping, and me and my mommy sleeping. From the pictures, you can tell I like to sleep A LOT (apparently just like my mommy and daddy when it comes to using a USB port)!
