After months of searching (since May), we finally found a Pilot that we liked, at a reasonable price. We finally got this Pilot at Sierra Honda in Monrovia (it was the 3rd dealership that we visited). After unsuccessful trips to the Honda dealership in Cerritos (and an overall unbelievable experience), and the Toyota dealership in Hollywood, we were able to get our car, only 2 months away from Tiger’s due date. The price was reasonable, not spectacular, but I didn’t feel ripped off after leaving. The piece of mind of getting a fair rate goes a long way when you’re making those stupid payments. Glad to have this done with…now we can use this car on our trips to San Diego….and other places!
Not as Hard as it Seems, With a Little Help
We just finished registering (the bulk of our items), at Babies r’ Us this weekend. Thanks to the help of Val, Tom, and Evan, we were able to get most of everything registered. From the stroller, to the wiper warmers, we managed to complete everything in about 3 hours or so. I’m sure it would’ve taken far longer without their help…so thank you to them! We’ll still need to register at Target for some additional items (cause not everyone lives near a Babies r’ Us), so that’ll be next on our ‘to-do’ list. Maybe I’ll register for my favorite items at Target (409, Lysol, and Dryel) so I can get some cools things too. Ah, too bad the NFL season starts in a week and a half…I should’ve done the registry sooner and added a Fantasy Football magazine to the registry so I don’t have to buy one this weekend. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Need a link to our registry?, here it is (Registry #45887822)
26 weeks, 4 days Ultrasound
Okay, so we were finally reminded of what week of pregnancy we’re in (yes, we lost track). Today was 26 weeks, 4 days (approximately). The ultrasound went as planned. Tiger is 1 lb, 15 oz and made it out of the Breach position and into the Vertex position. Tiger didn’t cooperate enough for us to get a picture of Tiger’s face, but we’re taking it as it to mean that Tiger still wants us to be surprised. This time the ultrasound lady was however, able to verify the upper extremities.
As for the glucose test… ‘someone’ couldn’t get the bottle opened at home when they were suppose to drink it an hour before the blood test, so ‘someone’ had to bring the drink to the doctor’s office so I could open it. We didn’t get delayed too much because the ultrasound and consultation with the doctor took about an hour, so ‘someone’ lucked out. I really hate to name names, so I’m glad I didn’t have to. We should find out the results by next week, but I think we’re good…contrary to the pictures on Facebook showing how much we really eat on a given weekend.
NOW, the next thing on our list is to get a car, find a pediatrician, and get ready for our childbirthing class next Friday. All-in-all, today was a great way to start off the weekend!
6-month Ultrasound
We’re getting our 6-month ultrasound tomorrow! We actually got an ultrasound last month, but the ultrasound lady couldn’t see Tiger’s hands and feet because he/she/Tiger was moving so much. So this time around, we’re hoping to get some good video of Tiger (even though I think Tiger’s gonna be moving more because of the glucose drink).
Here’s a shot of Pia’s stomach from June. I’ll take another one tonight so I can compare.
